Leather Revival

Sporting leather in this season can be a little discomforting and may leave you feeling perspired but tell you what, it’s doable. Leather is no longer limited to winter wear only. Designers are coming up with leathers that are light in weight and totally wearable for spring and summer. There are these paper-thin leathers, vegan leathers and even faux leather which you can embrace as an everyday fabric.  And you can wear leather in many fresh, new ways. Find out how to.

Skirts: Leather skirts seem to demand attention this season. It is the hottest and sexiest item of the season. And every girl should own a pencil leather skirt (whether real or faux). Pair the pencil leather skirt with a white button down or a printed shirt and super sharp stilettos, there’s no doubt you’ll look super trendy, very polished and sexy. If you want to tone down a bit, then opt for leather skater skirts. Flouncy and stylish, this piece goes with almost anything. Paired with a printed bralette and Lita shoes, the look is totally rocker-chic and it’s currently trending.

Jeggings: Another hot item of this season is leather jeggings. Glossy and sleek, leather jeggings are tremendously sexy and glamorous. They are so versatile that they can be worn in many ways. You can keep it feminine and pretty and at the same you can work a rough and tough look. Pair up with a crop top and booties for an edgy look. Work the leather jeggings with a button-down flannel or chambray top with a pair of chic ballet flats for a feminine appeal.

Jackets: A classic piece of all times, leather jacket. This is something that will always be in, no matter which season you wear. The latest leather jacket lined out is slim, more fitting and are very light in weight. The slimming cut can accentuate your curves and the rocker-chic feel it embodies will add to your overall coolness. You can wear leather jacket with every outfit. Last season was all about leather jacket teamed with maxis. This time, they are mostly seen worn over a crop top or a bralette.
Shirt: Pretty unusual but really trendy. Leather shirts are a great way to spice up your most comfortable outfit. You could pair a leather shirt with a printed skater skirt

or slim trousers. If you want to dress it up a bit, then team with a miniskirt or shorts. Opt for really stylish heels to further uplift the look.

Shorts: Nothing beats a pair of leather shorts in terms of stylishness and edginess. Leather shorts are a gateway to the extremely fashionable world. Wear leather shorts with studded tank top and biker boots for a badass appeal. Otherwise, team up with a button-up blouse and retro pumps for that elegant and alluringly sexy look

What's trending!

This season is all about harking back to the oldies. With bralettes being the top trend, printed pants selling like hot cakes and vintage inspired dresses making a sizzling comeback, it’s not hard to miss out on the current trending items.

BRALETTES

Let’s go with bralettes first. This lingerie inspired croptop seems to be bang on trend this season. Though they were spotted on some celebrities last season, it didn’t really leave a mark. This time, we are seeing a lot them, from prints to solids to embellished or even studded ones. Sophisticated yet alluringly sexy, bralets can be worn in many different ways. The best way however, is to pair up with high waisted bottoms, be it a skirt, shorts or trousers. A digital printed bralette when paired with a high waisted leather skater skirt is fad. The look is very jazzy, fad and it’s the revival of the 90’s grunge look. You could even team a studded bralette with leather pants for a more rough and tough finish. Another great way to work the bralette is by pairing with maxi skirts. This is an easy-to-wear, fun, flirty style with hints of retro touch. Then there is the 50’s chic meets the contemporary high street look - bralette paired with pencil skirts. This is classic and very elegantly stylish.

PRINTED TROUSERS

They are all the rage this season. PrintedTrousers also known as the pajama pant trend is the comfiest trend of all time. Besides being immensely chic and flatteringly attractive, printed trousers are super comfortable to wear and they are endlessly versatile. There are so many different types of prints to choose from. And the best part is you can wear these trousers to work, events, and shopping and even night outs. You just have to know how to wear them. For instance, if you’re out for shopping or just a random day out, you could simply adorn a printed pallazo paired with a vest top and thong sandals. If you have an event to attend to, you can look as glamorous as wearing a dress or miniskirt with printed trousers. Opt for either skinny type or harem style and team up with a crop top or a colourful blouse and put on some sky-high heels. And for work, the trick is wearing soft printed ones and teaming with a solid hued blouse and pumps.

STATEMENT DRESSES

This season, the dresses have all been given a vintage feel and look; classic cut, well tailored and very aristocratic. The pencil dresses are just super elegant and very Victorian. Skater skirts are flouncier with very fine detailing and rich prints. They are highly sophisticated and are suitable for glamorous affairs at the same time formal events.
