Flat 30% off on Mouth watering Japanese food & beverages (including GST). Mega offer on Tamon's Specialty Dish 'Salmon Sashimi' at $10 UP ($17) only t

Mouth watering Deals from Koovs ... only for you!!!

Tamon is an unpretentious Japanese eatery offering hearty, home-style dishes at affordable prices. It has been around for 15 years in the Katong area, and that's no mean feat. Despite being surrounded by all sorts of eateries, it has managed to hold its own identity and quality. It can be quite packed at lunchtime with Japanese expats and locals alike.

It sits slightly away from the busy road, but right next to the 328 Katong Laksa. Take note of its rather limited operating hours though. I went a couple of times and it was not open (public holiday, and lunch on weekends).

Tamon maintains the exclusivity by limiting its opening hours

Mon-Fri
Lunch: 12 noon to 2pm
Dinner: 6pm to 10pm

Sat & Sun
Dinner only: 6pm to 10pm
Closed Public Holidays!

Seating for this place is for about 30-40, with about 4 tables of 4 outside. It is pretty cosy with seating arrangements close to each other. They have a variety of items and five dinner sets to choose from.

Few Dishes:

Tamon Bento: It consists of Sashimi, Tempura, Saba Shioyaki, Chawanmushi served with Miso soup and Rice. It has a variety of Sashimi and Tempura which were sizeable and fresh (Sashimi). The batter for the tempura is very good and it’s not oily.

Chawanmushi: The best item. Its texture is really very smooth.
