Crushing On Colours

It’s the season of colours and looks like everybody is crushing on colours and filling up their wardrobe with only colours and colours. You’ve seen colours on dresses, blouses, shirts, even shorts, eh? They are quite overdone, over worn and over rated, not to say they are not trendy anymore but what’s catching fancy on the market currently are coloured denims. There are so many coloured denims on stacks; you can’t help mooning on them. Leaving aside the red and blue as they are kind of a usual suspect when it comes to coloured denims, there are these sultry yet intense shades you possibly can’t ignore - sweet candy pinks, cute mellow yellows, pretty soft greens and yes, the dullish grey (grey actually seems to be working on denims).
There are also some really colourful styles mixed with some trendy print like digital or animal and believe it - they are fad. You may not have imagined wearing a polka dotted pants or a snake print unless of course, you’ve got a fancy dress competition or a costume party to attend to. But let us break it out to you, mixed patterns multi-coloured denims are a totally go-go this season and are very likely to put you on a glamorous and uber-trendy spot. So load up your closet with as many different coloured denims as you can as they are worth shelling out every penny from your wallet. And if you’re confused about styling up with them or not quite certain about the right colours or tops or footwears to pair with, our little fashion tutorial should help you. Here it goes.

Fiery Red Coloured Denims: If you adore preppy look, pair it with a boat neck striped top in full sleeves and in monochrome pattern. Pick a pair of plimsolls or moccasins to match it with. Since sleek poker straight hair is trending currently, you could keep your hair straight with this look.

Rich Regal Blue Coloured Denims: A brick shade red top with cap sleeves and soft print in Aztec or digital could be a good combination with blue coloured denims. Sport t-strap wedges or gladiator shoes if you prefer flats. Natural bouncy hair with little waves would be an added glam factor.
Candy Pink Coloured Denims: Play sophisticated and ultra feminine with this shade. Team it up with a soft frilled detailed blouse or a Peter Pan collar top in off-white or really light lemon green shade. For the footwear, peep-toe wedges in sultry shade would be terrific. Or a cute pair of ballerinas could also do. Don up your hair in an elegant braid or classic curls.

Mellow Yellow Coloured Denims: Yellow signifies colour blocking trend. Pick the brightest colours to team with our dear dirty fellow, yellow. Think fuchsia, tangerine, emerald, indigo even neons if you dare to.  Go bright even on the footwear. No kidding. Just remember to keep your hair neat if you’re going loud on your outfit.

Sweet Green Coloured Denims: This is a very versatile colour so you can combine with various hues. Try coral shade blouse as they will bring out the best of green. Or you could even pair with a check print shirt in any shade. Lita shoes, pumps, wedges, thong sandals, gladiators are some footwear to look in to. A sweet ponytail or side-swept braid might add a trendy flair to the look.
