Get Coloricious

GeT CoLOrICIOuS

Bewildered about what to wear for your stint out in town? The grace of those blacks and single-toned dresses might look like an enticing option. Yet, have you been playing it too safe of late? A couple of dates with black and a time will come when you’d want to break out of the ordinary and go all out with something refreshing, exciting and new.

Here’s an advice for all fashionistas – go vivacious, go colourlicious! While it just comes naturally to some people to play with the palette and come out in strikingly charming fashion ensembles, others may find it tedious to mix &  match colours and might just end up creating quite a disaster. So, even though it’s usually right to go with your instincts while playing up your outfit some knowledge of a few little tricks of the trade can ease out the entire process and actually make it a whole lot of fun.

Don’t be shy of experimenting. Any colour, be it neon blue or fluorescent green, can make heads turn if you can pull it off with flair. However,  it’s important to not go all out, all at once.

You can create wonders by placing big chunks of colours next to each other. Apply this concept to your tunics, dresses and even shoes or handbags and, you’re good to go. Use the trend wisely and you can even create a slimming effect with the incorporation of stripes or some pattern! But, make sure you put the technique to use carefully. Use it to accentuate just one part of your look. Carrying a colour-blocked handbag with a colour-blocked dress is a strict no-no.

Too many cooks spoil the broth and, the saying applies to fashion as well. Using too many colours in a single look can take the focus off you and result in chaos.  Especially while using strong & bold colours, it’s advisable to be a little stingy on the spectrum you put to use in the ensemble.  All in all, there’s a reason why we call it ‘playing with colours.

Don’t think too much and just break out of the monotony of the whites and greys and blacks to explore a world that’s bursting with colours. Fashion is, at the end, in many ways like Physics.  The right amount of colour, carried off with a generous dash of panache,  a little X-factor and set to the right temperature, can create ignition. Or even fireworks, if you wish!

5 Must Have Little Black Dress for Women - Tips to Carry Them, How and When to Wear

The little black dress or LBD ultimately symbolizes seamlessness. For a lot of women, it is always a worthy investment for any wardrobe regardless of their age. They may come in textured embellishments and lavish lace or with some contrasting collar, mini shift lengths and monochrome polka dots. The 1920s saw the first little black dress ever designed, and this has remained one of the most enduring styles of fashion to date. It symbolizes sexuality, simplicity, elegance, empowerment, sophistication and freedom.

The seasonless, chic and classic little black dress comes in a wide range of styles to suit different body types and occasions. It takes pride of some simple elegance that no other fashion piece can match with. A pair of casual flats or stylish black pumps will make every wearer feel fashionable and beautiful. There are minis and lengths that reach right below the knees. There is also a variety of details, giving women many options to select the details that most flatter their figures. For instance, if you have an hourglass figure, waist details are ideal and if you have beautiful shoulders, you should go for strapless.

There are five must-haves for every woman when it comes to the little black dress, as follows:

1.      Fringed little black dress
This dress does not have a fitted shape as most of the other styles do. It is a more forgiving style of a tunic dress with fringes, which is perfect for a party. To spice it up for a night out with friends, you add some dangling earrings. Gladiator heels are a genius idea, as they will increase your sex appeal.

2.      Lace little black dress
This is a sexy style that is made of lace, making it perfect for a romantic date. The easy A-line cut it has works with a majority of feminine bodies. You can throw on a skinny belt, a cardigan and some flats, and you are set to go to work.

3.      Velvet little black dress
This is a velvet shift that flatters the shape and complements all skin hues. Worn with heels, it is ideal for a boardroom, business date or dinner party. If haltered, the LBD suits a hot summer night date to perfection.

4.      Ruffled little black dress
This style has sleeves that give extra coverage, but it still manages to maintain a flirty feel with its girly riffle trim. It also spots a sheath, making it a most appropriate little black dress for a cocktail party or a club meeting. You can pair it with an intricate beaded necklace or gold bangles.

5.      Sweater knit little black dress
This is a dressy little black dress that can be spiced up with a sexy bugle bead neckline. A body con makes it perfect for a romantic date.

The Fashion Trends this Season – Autumn - Winter

This autumn and winter should not catch you unaware when it comes to fashion. You should be at par with the latest fashion trends, from cutting-edge designer collections to street style fashion and resort fashion collections. Be prepared by knowing how to style up with the seasons’ fashion trends.
Your selection should be guided by neon colors, polka dots and graphic prints as follows:
 Playful Polka Dots
Days that are chilly are around the corner, and a modern twist integrated into a classic ‘60s and ‘70s style is a perfect source of inspiration.  Polka dots are all over, and they are especially cute-looking when you mix them with sneakers or jeans. They represent a fashion staple and bring a refreshing change from the classic stripe that the recent years have witnessed. You will find jeans, silk blouses, cashmere sweaters, belted dresses and even classic ballet flats this season in all colors and with polka dots.

Neon Colors
The classic grey has always been trendy, but this year you ought to avoid venturing doo deep into the world of grey shades. Maintain your summer and spring spark by going for neon colors like orange and apple green. You can combine splashes of vivid tones with the softer, neutral hues for an earthy look. In the cold season, vivid colors are fun and great at brightening up your look.
Prints
You should look out for simplicity, functionality and sexiness in the prints you select. Versatile and simple graphic prints are ideal, as they have a high degree of adaptability to the rest of your autumn and winter collection.  Stripes and star prints are some of the most captivating style pieces that you can use to create the focal point you want, while still maintaining balance between functionality and style. You are sure to have a look that creates instant modern appeal.
Retro
Fabrics such as brocade are the catch this season. Accessorized with the ‘60s and ‘70s high necklines and rounded shoulders, these precious fabrics are bound to create men’s retro looks. You can complete your look with a coat that has bracelet sleeves and sloping shoulders.
Color Block all the way
There should be no hesitation in you this season, as you explore with bright colors and boost your stylish appearance. Cool graphics are also a guarantee that all eyes will be on you. Incorporate colored accessories and color blocks in your outfit. Go for the season’s trendy bold color mixes and complement your bubbly personality.
