Welcome to the Fashion Jungle

Blumarine

Fashionistas have always been inspired by animals in their designing. Every fall winter collection has an animal print that rules the FASHION JUNGLE and this time it is the leopard. Take a walk on the wild side by sporting this audacious trend with a favorite fashion staple.

Balmain

Dolce & Gabbana

This season, the leopard replaced the snake which was the most favorite of all until last season. From Dolce&Gabbana to Balmain, Mango to Forever 21, every designer, Indian or international is trying his/her best to catch up with the leopard print. It has that uncanny ability to add sex appeal to any ensemble.

Get Coloricious

GeT CoLOrICIOuS

Bewildered about what to wear for your stint out in town? The grace of those blacks and single-toned dresses might look like an enticing option. Yet, have you been playing it too safe of late? A couple of dates with black and a time will come when you’d want to break out of the ordinary and go all out with something refreshing, exciting and new.

Here’s an advice for all fashionistas – go vivacious, go colourlicious! While it just comes naturally to some people to play with the palette and come out in strikingly charming fashion ensembles, others may find it tedious to mix &  match colours and might just end up creating quite a disaster. So, even though it’s usually right to go with your instincts while playing up your outfit some knowledge of a few little tricks of the trade can ease out the entire process and actually make it a whole lot of fun.

Don’t be shy of experimenting. Any colour, be it neon blue or fluorescent green, can make heads turn if you can pull it off with flair. However,  it’s important to not go all out, all at once.

You can create wonders by placing big chunks of colours next to each other. Apply this concept to your tunics, dresses and even shoes or handbags and, you’re good to go. Use the trend wisely and you can even create a slimming effect with the incorporation of stripes or some pattern! But, make sure you put the technique to use carefully. Use it to accentuate just one part of your look. Carrying a colour-blocked handbag with a colour-blocked dress is a strict no-no.

Too many cooks spoil the broth and, the saying applies to fashion as well. Using too many colours in a single look can take the focus off you and result in chaos.  Especially while using strong & bold colours, it’s advisable to be a little stingy on the spectrum you put to use in the ensemble.  All in all, there’s a reason why we call it ‘playing with colours.

Don’t think too much and just break out of the monotony of the whites and greys and blacks to explore a world that’s bursting with colours. Fashion is, at the end, in many ways like Physics.  The right amount of colour, carried off with a generous dash of panache,  a little X-factor and set to the right temperature, can create ignition. Or even fireworks, if you wish!

5 Must Have Little Black Dress for Women - Tips to Carry Them, How and When to Wear

The little black dress or LBD ultimately symbolizes seamlessness. For a lot of women, it is always a worthy investment for any wardrobe regardless of their age. They may come in textured embellishments and lavish lace or with some contrasting collar, mini shift lengths and monochrome polka dots. The 1920s saw the first little black dress ever designed, and this has remained one of the most enduring styles of fashion to date. It symbolizes sexuality, simplicity, elegance, empowerment, sophistication and freedom.

The seasonless, chic and classic little black dress comes in a wide range of styles to suit different body types and occasions. It takes pride of some simple elegance that no other fashion piece can match with. A pair of casual flats or stylish black pumps will make every wearer feel fashionable and beautiful. There are minis and lengths that reach right below the knees. There is also a variety of details, giving women many options to select the details that most flatter their figures. For instance, if you have an hourglass figure, waist details are ideal and if you have beautiful shoulders, you should go for strapless.

There are five must-haves for every woman when it comes to the little black dress, as follows:

1.      Fringed little black dress
This dress does not have a fitted shape as most of the other styles do. It is a more forgiving style of a tunic dress with fringes, which is perfect for a party. To spice it up for a night out with friends, you add some dangling earrings. Gladiator heels are a genius idea, as they will increase your sex appeal.

2.      Lace little black dress
This is a sexy style that is made of lace, making it perfect for a romantic date. The easy A-line cut it has works with a majority of feminine bodies. You can throw on a skinny belt, a cardigan and some flats, and you are set to go to work.

3.      Velvet little black dress
This is a velvet shift that flatters the shape and complements all skin hues. Worn with heels, it is ideal for a boardroom, business date or dinner party. If haltered, the LBD suits a hot summer night date to perfection.

4.      Ruffled little black dress
This style has sleeves that give extra coverage, but it still manages to maintain a flirty feel with its girly riffle trim. It also spots a sheath, making it a most appropriate little black dress for a cocktail party or a club meeting. You can pair it with an intricate beaded necklace or gold bangles.

5.      Sweater knit little black dress
This is a dressy little black dress that can be spiced up with a sexy bugle bead neckline. A body con makes it perfect for a romantic date.

Summer Colorama

"Colours are the essence of style. Without colours fashion would be just another bland subject that the elites converse about."

It seems that neutral and bright colours will be setting the trend this season.

Tangerine tango, a bright orange is the numero uno hue for boldness.  Orange will be so dominant; you can choose from tops to flip-flops every other outfit in orange.

Lemon yellow is the colour for pleasant days. Wear it with a white skirt and yellow flip-flops. Or keep it cool with grey pants and shoes. Get bolder and match it with the next colour: Bellflower. It is the shade of purple for this summer. Get tee shirts and shrugs in this shade.

Get vibrant with cobalt & lilac. You can make this work on almost everything, dresses to frocks to tees to shirts. Printed shirts in these colours worn with dark pants will look great. Sum it up with bright melon bags.

Rosy red is the best option for cosmetics and summer clothing. Make it bold with belts and shoes in this colour. Experiment it with contrast colour stoles and derive your own street style. Next up is sodalite blue; it goes well with all the colours in the palette. Get a floral print halter neck and comfy flats in this colour and wear it with the tactical blue-green colour cockatoo, pin it with a light green coloured bag.

Colours such as cream, light pink, coral & peach are to be worn with brighter pastels & tones, order some pants in these colours and top it with dark shirts and you are set for the whole summer.

White, being the ideal colour for summer, would look simple and elegant paired with black. Get some dotted shirts in this combination and liven up. Wear black with Nude hue, a distinctive colour which will be trending. It is versatile and would bring out a unique look.

Balancing is the key; regardless of what you pick, the right balance of colours will do the magic. So head out and plan your style with colours this summer.  Play cool, misty, romantic, twisty summer with colours mounted right on your stylo!

Laptop Bags Typo

Often said, immensely followed –What you hold onto, pretty much defines the way you carry yourself.  Take a decade-long turn, and today we have a tech-savvy world, with almost 15-50 year old, carrying a laptop and tablet, blending into the technology quickly.

We all have our fears, finicky lobes and muddled-zones of the way we carry and manage our laptops in our routine. Yet again, it is easy to make an error in choosing the right bag. Here are some cool and appropriate suggestions to carry your laptop, in your very own Fashion! Talk about carrying laptop to workplace: the most regular ones are the carry cases with single-shouldered straps, often referred as Messengers. These bags have multiple compartments and pockets for keeping your accessories, documents safely. Unless, you want to double-safe your laptop, we opt for Laptop Sleeves. Laptop Sleeves are compact, sleek and simple, mostly made of lightweight elastic material for ease. A new trend in style, one can carry a sleeve in hand bags, backpack or any of your regular bags!

The most common and multi-utility accessory is the Backpack. Laptop Backpacks are generally designed with separate compartments for the Laptop Notebooks, accessories and extra space for other mundane objects. Backpack often becomes a life-saver: if you are planning a night stay at friend’s and rushing to work the following day. These are extremely comfortable and easy to use and they match with every outfit.

Another type of laptop bag is the ‘Wheeled Laptop Bag’. Specifically designed for the purpose of travel, these are regular travel bags armed with laptop compartments. The best features for the uniqueness of these bags are their add-on features like guaranteed shock-proof layer, another layer for water resistance and evergreen polish.

Quick Look up, before you choose a skin for your Laptop:
  • Material should be water-resistant, unless you want to fat yourself by stuffing the bag inside your shirt during a sudden downpour.
  • Thumb rule – The bag should not weigh more than your Laptop/Notebook.
  • Pick what suits your style and whack. If you come from a fashion work scenario, you are mostly free to pick vivid bags of any style.
  • The regular pointers are to look for utility, style, trend, surroundings and most importantly your outfit.
Let the technology, hang another persona to your style.

Catch the breeze at work: Summer Dilemmas

Boys have their fears of scratching their head off in heat, after all they are boys! So, they dress up light and stay cool, yet again, the work closet doesn't sync with the need.
Here are some tips to get your closet in-sync with weather and work.

1) Keep it light.
Dress light with Tropical Light Weight Wool, Cotton or Linen, they are made to allow air-flow.The lesser known tropical weight wool is the perfect material for formal suits and pants. Go with clothing which allows maximum airflow, that is to say: no tight clothes and no loose-fitting clothes either.

2) Keep it simple.
Cut down experiments with formal wear. Go with classic light colour shirts like pink, light blue, cream with dark colour semi-formal pants. Light colours look soothing and classy on formal occasions. Prefer button down half-sleeve shirts on casual Fridays. Nothing looks more formal and presentable than tidy, well pressed clothes. Get that crisp crease and semi-formals will automatically look formal.

3) Wear Undershirts.
This is a conventional but a rather good idea, wearing a cotton undershirt or a vest proves
useful. It absorbs sweat and keeps the shirt intact.

4) Wear Suits Without Lining.
There will be occasions when you have to wear a suit or a blazer. Order yourself an un-lined or a half-lined suit. Get them Tailor-made. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why, but half the time we just forget this. Here too choose between cotton and tropical wool for the material.

Try not to be lethargic with your accessories. Giving attention to details is never a waste. Pay attention to accessories like shoes, belts, cufflinks and even socks. See to it that your belt and your shoes match and keep your shoes polished and shiny; they’ll grab more attention than your outfit. Wear Moccasins and prefer brown or tan coloured shoes and belt. Wear cotton socks, preferably white.

Boyz Zone - Summer Feet

Gentlemen, it is now time for us to do one of the best things we do. Let’s go buy some shoes, let us make our feet happy. Summer heat would not stop us, for we have some of the best footwear known to mankind trending now. Here we shall give you a hand in picking the right ones.

For obvious reasons, we guys picture ourselves in a pair of sneakers the minute we think about the sun and outdoor combination. But there's more to having happy feet in summer than just the sneakers. And that, to couple with fashion is a whole different ball game.

Consider the Skater shoes or the Converse type Slip-ons. Hanging out with the boys? These sneakers would make weekends more casual and summer all the more cooler. Pair them with casual jeans / shorts and you are ready to go.

Want to display some matured air? Moccasins are the best way to do it. These shoes go well with pants and V-neck Tees. The Deck shoes are for you if you want to grab attention through your attention to detail. Get these vintage pieces and look timeless. And better, they come out in a wide range of colours.

Sophistication and attitude is your thing, if you happen to own some sleek Loafers. These comfortable slip-ons bring out class as you walk. Or you may want to go with the desert boots if you are thinking of getting it rusty. These classic boots are not only comfortable, but also bring out an air of enigma.

One more option to spend money on is the Brogue. These low-heeled shoes worn with loafer socks would look austere and stylish yet. Then we have the feet-friendly Canvas, from the all cool Nautical Canvas to the sneakers and Lace-ups, you never run out of options. And the best thing is, the beach loves them.

Another thing that the beach loves is the flip-flops. The most easy and simple of all and they bring out the lethargic dude on screen. Or keep it simple and plain with the thong sandals.

Head-out and shop now, because like we mentioned earlier, it is one of the best things that we do. And it is after-all one of the few things women notice in us.
