Girly Glam

This trend is about a little girl’s style by a grown up that has now gone glamorous. The basic elements of a little girl’s wardrobe are still the same though, only it’s been given a glamorous twist and appeal.  The little frilly frock we wore when we were 10 has just been slightly redefined and it is now a fashionable item.  Those cute little skirts with pleats still have not been modernized and it is another trendy outfit. There isn’t much change in the silhouettes, colours, prints, patterns etc. Pink and polka dots are still a favourite of many.  The headband which is considered a little girl’s accessory is one of the most used and sought after accessory in the history of fashion.  From pastel shades to cotton cane lace, pleated skirts or even a pinafore, they are making a big impression on the current fashion chart.  Think feminine and pretty.  If you want to bring out the inner girl in you, it’s about time to stock up your summer wardrobe with a lot of girly items.

Pastel shade: First start with filling in lots of pastel shade items in your summer closet.  You can opt for tea dresses in soft sultry shades. Skater skirts are also bang on trend so incorporate light polka dot printed or feminine nautical stripes skirts matched with lace detailed blouses.  For footwear, the classic ballerinas with bow detailed are an ideal. Choose headbands with baby pink bow for a cute finish to your feminine outlook.

Whites: White is an integral part of the girly glam trend.  Whenever you’re wearing a coloured skirt or trousers, a white blouse is perfect to team up with. A white dress embellished with buttons or studs or anything fancy is always graceful and trendy. Adorn rhinestone earrings or bracelets when you’re sporting something white. They go very well together. Even when you’re wearing a printed dress or any coloured dress, a white canvas gives a school girl look in a very fashionable way.

Polka Dots: They are girl’s best friend after diamonds. A girly ensemble cannot be complete without polka dots. From tops to dresses, skirts or even accessories polka dots are a must- have.

Florals: Summer’s favourite, florals are as important as polka dots. Pick soft floral motifs in sultry shades or white silhouettes with bigger motifs. Make sure you choose soft and subtle tones. Floral shift dresses are a good pick and floral skater dresses too.
