Day 1 - Fun Begins..

“Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life” - Berthold Auerbach
The 7th edition of The Great Indian October Fest created hype even before it started. It was majorly because of its Band line ups, the Beer, and the venue. Hosted at KTPO, in an open air field, away from the hustle of the city, the place looked like a village’s colorful carnival with its flea market, exotic cuisines at the food court, various games, and party items like funky hats, wigs & headdress, attractive souvenirs.

The first day opened with live performances by Hiphop & Reggae Band – Bombay Bassment, Rock by Bicycle Days, amazing Indo-Jazz by Amit Heri, classic Carnatic Rock by Motherjane, House by Ash Roy & Ashvin from Jalebee Cartel, and Bollywood/House by Ram Sampath & DJSuketu

After a great start, the crowd went crazy soaring to the tracks from Delly Belly performed live by its composer & singer Ram Sampath. The music and the energy combined with intoxicating Beer were infectious. There wasn’t a single soul who wasn’t dancing or laughing, in short the fun was in the air! DJ Suketu took it up a notch with his eternal Bollywood & House remixes, bringing the crowd to frenzy that was insatiable and enthralling.

With the shouts of ‘once more’, the day ended with a promise of much better tomorrow, just a night away.
