Tribute to Legend

An unparalleled versatile singer is the only way one can describe Kishore Kumar, affectionately known as Kishore Da. This legend was also an actor, a lyricist, a composer, a producer, a director, a screenwriter and a scriptwriter, but his unadulterated ardour for music guided his singing such, that it came to him as easy as laughter.

A voice so soulful, through all genres of music he touched hearts and added to the Golden Age of Indian music. Be it his yoodlies that share the utter joy of living or be the poignant
songs like Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai, Pal Pal Dil ke Paas, Hum Bewafaa or Dream Girl the songs continue to live. Mostly, the task for anyone is to decide as to which one of his songs is much-loved with a unanimous and inconclusive consciousness that one undoubtedly cannot pick merely one song. The list is literally as long as the record of his songs.

Kishore Da’s achievements have outlived him, even in today’s time and age his peerless gossamer style gets the young and old humming alike. To relive his legendary music, Shaan pays an accolade to the enthralling music created and the prodigy that is immortal in every sense on Friday, Nov 25, 2011 at Palace Grounds (Gayatri Vihar).
