Story of Koovs

Four little boys, heavy bags, obedient, real bookworms, mommy-daddy’s favourites went to school together. First-benchers, ranked first, teacher’s best buys, Oh, the perfect students who turned their careers into biggest B-Schools of the nation.

Oops, Now! Well, most of the successors that ran their business aircraft have a similar tale. Nope people, ours’ is a bit different, a bit peppy, and a bit loud!

Four boys hung out together in school, Oh Yeah, literally – hung out of classrooms. Back-benchers, notorious to the core, great friends, tickle-to-bone funny and not to miss their razor-sharp brains, that almost covered their naughty chores. They played along their childhood with some heavy cloud that cooked for long-long years, robustly filtered and furnished their knowledge at Indian Institute of Technology. Challenges actually began there, and then followed the brainstorming with various roles at conglomerates and companies that swung along the nation. An afternoon, after a heavy & audible Beer burp and many promises, the boys opened their shutter of experiences and conceived Koovs in 2009. The beginning was soft with plenty of sensitive dimes that they played along, but managed to sail rather slow and steady with lots of HONESTY!

The four boys were Manish Tewari, Amit Shukla, Kanishk Shukla & Rajesh Kamra. Today, they are the ‘Heroes’ of Koovs – one amongst India’s top 3 E-Shopping sites.

Welcome to the tabular world of fun shopping, success quotient and hard work with the four musketeers.

Watch Your Time

Fastrack, the Titan initiative in 1998 paid off in 2005, when it became an independent watch company targeting the urban youth of the country. The pristine, in vogue designs appealed to the younger masses as the models are tailored to the taste of the fresh blood. Along with refreshing designs, Fastrack assured that this funky fashion did not burn a hole in the pockets.

The origination of the brand itself was a revolution, a style statement that transformed and defined the requirements of the younger ones in the market. Their initiation forced others brands and companies to change the models, and come with innovative, out of the box designs.

Fastrack has designs for every personality, be it elegantly casual, stark and bold, a changing design to meet the daily fashion craving, sturdy adventurous models, or their infamous bulky army designs. There is no limit to these avant-garde designs, one can incorporate any look they desire, and Fastrack would not fall short. They have it all.

O' ZAPFT: It’s tapped!

A twelve gun salute and the tapping of the first keg of Oktoberfest beer by the incumbent Mayor of Munich with the cry “O' zapft” ("It's tapped!") opens the Oktoberfest in Germany. So does the Indian style October fest awaits!

A 200 year old festival, to celebrate the vowed arrival of a new daughter, Crown Princess Therese, in a field, shortly post her, renamed in her honor, Theresienwiese (Theresa’s Meadow). The celebration, henceforth became an annual festival, and integrated into the rich Bavarian culture.

Munich celebrates this two century old running carnival of Beer for 16-18 days, starting, late September up till the first Sunday of October, to enjoy every ounce of freshly-brewed local Beer before winter sets in.

The event commences by the mayor presenting the first Beer to the Minister-President of the State of Bavaria. The Beer is a carefully chosen Munich Beer, which only upon passing this criterion is designated as Oktoberfest Beer.

This Carnival of Beer is the largest volksfest (people’s fair) held across all nations. Along with other many cities, Bangalore is back with The Great Indian October Fest (TGIOF 2011), our desi version of the Oktoberfest. The much-awaited event is a huge crowd magnet from all over India and is already arising speculations on its venue, its performing artists and TICKETS! Watch 2011, more coming up this Beer festival!

Wondering when October Fest 2011 commences?
